Some businesses start with a business plan. Wildflower & Ember started with a feeling that Marsha couldn't shake, no matter how many years went by. A feeling that there should be a place where people can come together, make something with their hands, drink a really good cup of coffee, and just feel like they belong.

Marsha is an artist, a mom, a self-proclaimed chronic over-thinker, and the person behind all of it. She has been quietly growing this dream for years, and now it is finally taking shape in the Kansas City Northland, where she is working toward opening a brick-and-mortar location that brings her vision to life in a real, tangible way.

"I don't think art belongs to a select few. I think creativity shows up in a hundred different ways, and every one of us deserves a place to explore it."

That quote says everything you need to know about who Marsha is and what she is building. Wildflower & Ember is not trying to be a trendy coffee shop or an exclusive creative space. It is for everyone. It is built on kindness, curiosity, acceptance, and the kind of community that makes you feel seen the moment you walk in.

Even the coffee reflects that intentionality. Marsha sources her beans through a local roaster she knows personally, someone whose practices and values she trusts completely. In a world where so much feels anonymous and disconnected, that kind of relationship is refreshing. You can taste the difference when someone actually cares about where things come from.
